This kit has everything you will need to install a pipe boot except a drill and a few hand tools. The boot can be cut to fit pipe sizes 1/4" to 5" diameter. Here are the recommend steps to install your new Metal Roof Pipe Boot. 1. Determine the correct size to cut the boot. Cut the top of the boot a little smaller than needed at first to ensure a tight fit. You can always make it larger if its too tight. 2. Dry fit the boot around pipe and position the boot on the roof. Hand form the flexible flange to fit any corrugations in the roof panel. 3. Take a pencil and trace a line around the outside perimeter of the flexible flange. 4. Slide the boot up the pipe to allow room to apply the sealant. 5. Apply a generous bead of the sealant to the inside of the pencil line. 6. Press the boot down the pipe forcing the flexible collar into the sealant. 7. Fasten the collar down with the 1.5" metal roofing screws 1 inch apart around the collar. It is ok if some of the sealant is forced out. 8. Apply another bead of the sealant at the top of the boot where the pipe is coming through.
