I love to use these in pieces that are mostly flat glass, for a more multi-dimensional effect. -Large, SUPER reflective pebbles are standout accent pieces! You'll see my phone reflected in many of the pictures. - 15 to 20 mm in size (stones will vary in size). -Listing is for (1) 50 pc bag of loose gems in the color mix you select. - Because these are irregular in size and used as accents, measurement is by weight rather than area coverage. However, each bag will cover approximately 6 square inches. -Flat on the bottom for easy gluing. NOTES FOR ART USE: -Sea Blue is a cooler blue, while Aqua Blue has warmer (greener) tones. They are very complimentary and also mix beautifully. -Keep in mind that glass pebbles should not be cut unless the cut side is going down into the grout or thinset. This is because dome makes the pebble uneven, and you won't be able to cover all the exposed sharp edges. -Translucent gems let light through rather than reflecting it. Be sure to use the proper types of glue so you don't end up with an opaque blob of glue under your pretty pebble! I use Weldbond in all my mosaics, which dries clear, but find a glue that works with all your materials if using mixed media. -When grouting pebbles or other rounded tesserae, be sure to run your finger or a tool around the edge of the stone to make sure the pebble is fully revealed. If you grout to the top of the pebble, you'll lose the beautiful shape and height variation and just see the teeny peak of the dome!!10.
