So if you were to measure the diameter from one end to the other end of your flagpole (at the farthest points not the length of the whole flagpole) it CAN'T be larger than 1 inch on the outside diameter. These rings go around the outside of your flagpole. Flags Pole And More has taken a picture of a butt end of a flagpole that would slide into a 1" flagpole bracket (this flagpole and bracket are sold separately).
