Solution to this problem is to lower the TV down for when it is viewed. 23 inch height adjustment allows the TV to be pulled down to a more comfortable viewing height. When not in use, the TV can be put back up over the fireplace.
The heart of the height adjustment capability is the gas spring mechanism that allows the TV to cantilever up and down. Gas spring mechanism built into the mount offers a countebalance to the weight of the TV, allowing it to be lowered and raised with the touch of a finger. The tension can be adjusted to suit heavier or lighter TVs.
In addition to height adjustment, this mount can also tilt (between 5 and 12 degrees) to reduce glare and swivel (30 degrees left and right) to perfectly align it with the viewers line of sight. 3 degrees of rotation adjustment also allows it to be aligned post-installation.
