Typical metal stamp characters fit very well with just enough space above and below the stamps (see photo). It's long enough to fit most women's wrist sizes comfortably and the silver design looks attractive but without the high price. It's used for hammering, stamping and engraving. Here are the details: SIZE 1/4" x 6". USES Great for making bracelets, such as cuffs and bangles. MATERIAL 1100 grade aluminum cut, 14 gauge. Often referred to as "food safe" which is an unofficial way of saying that this metal is a good source for use in jewelry making. It won't tarnish, feels light, and most people have no allergic reactions. As such, it's a bit more difficult to be used in distress or antique designs. However, this material conforms well to texturing with hammers and mills. FINISHING This is a completely finished blank that's ready for your artisan work. The edges are de-burred and the corners are slightly rounded so your finished product will have a nice and comfortable fit. We tumble the metal for a smooth finish and nice shine. This also gives it some additional flexibility and hardness. This is a high quality product, making it much less likely to crack and snap when you hammer, stamp or engrave. No holes or markings. The photos show these curved, but they will arrive flat unless you request that they be curved. This listing is for TEN blanks. These are made from red, or jeweler's brass, which I personally prefer in jewelery as its slight reddish undertones more closely mimic true gold ('yellow' brass often appears to have an almost greenish undertone, and just doesn't gleam as prettily as this does). Please note that if your customers have a sensitivity to copper, they will likely have a sensitivity to brass as well, since it is a copper alloy. Made from 18-gauge brass sheet, this makes a very sturdy bracelet (the thicker the gauge, the lower the number; for metal stamping, you really don't want to ever go thinner than 20 gauge except maybe for pendants are earrings). If you want to provide your customers with good quality bracelets that aren't going to get bent easily, then this is the one you want.
